Isabel Barfod is an animator and illustrator based in Glasgow who works across digital and hand-drawn animation. In her practice, she seeks to draw out the hard-to-describe experiences, feelings and phenomena associated with moving between private and public space as a Black Queer person. In 2023, Isabel was awarded the 2023 Margaret Tait Commission from LUX Scotland, and will be developing a new project that considers the relationship between Blackness, water, swimming, and public pools.
