My installation revolves around a place that had a very strong influence on me in my childhood and youth. In 1940, my great-great-grandfather built a small wooden hut on the edge of a forest in the Pfalz near Bad Bergzabern, where I spent many summers during my childhood and youth. It accompanied me when I was growing up and also had a very strong influence on me. The little house is a special place that you rarely have the opportunity to experience. With my installation, I want to show how the place accompanied me growing up, how I dealt with it in the past and how I deal with it today. It was then and is now a place that inspires me creatively.
Antonina Geiß was born in Hamburg in 2003. There she occupied herself a lot with painting. In 2022 she began to study art at the HfG to deepen this. At the HfG, her interest in digital art grew considerably and she began to deal intensively with digital sculptures, video art and VR installations. She now works in an interdisciplinary way and tries to combine different media.
