By Lisa Kaschubat, Klara Kirsch, Milena Bühring

This film will be screened as part of our short film competition on Tuesday 17 October at 7.30pm and Wednesday 18 October at 8pm.

Lisa Kaschubat is an installation-based media artist from Berlin. By merging the virtual with the physical space and using different technologies, such as VR and AR, in combination with performance and sculptural practices, Lisa Kaschubat challenges conventional distinctions between real and virtual as well as digital and physical corporeality. Milena Bühring is a performance and media artist from Berlin who works in the field of tension between film and art, fiction and autobiography. Starting often from a personal stand, her works deals with stories and myths that are more or less consciously written in social performance and whose necessity and plausibility are often not questioned. Klara Kirsch is a performance and media artist whose work deals with bodies and (multiple) identities in the digital space, with the construction of reality and the mechanisms of post-capitalist society. In doing so, the appropriation of strategies from pop culture and social media serves as a method to address deeper feminist and sociopolitical questions.
